Do I seem like a pretty normal guy?

I like to make people laugh, and I do pretty good at that. I'm intelligent, and I can carry out a conversation with someone. There are some things I keep hidden, though, such as my mental illness. Despite appearing normal, I've wrecked almost every relationship I've ever had. I have no friends, no acquaintances, nothing. I could go on for hours about this mess. If I just start telling people about this, would it freak them out, or would they finally understand why I am the way I am? Would they pull away even more, or perhaps I could start making friends?

Having mental health disorder is absolutely nothing be ashamed about. We don't do anything to incur them. How are you managing you are mental health these days? What are you doing to improve your symptom management?

I think you'll find if you're open and embrace your mental health, those important in your life will do the very same thing. There are enough people in this world to pick and choose The advocates you want to keep close by. Good luck.

@Graylight I'm not handling it well, and I'm constantly in fear of reaching out to anyone because I'll be accused of behaving in an attention-seeking manner. I cannot stress enough, what goes on inside my head every day is a nightmare of epic proportions, and it's frustrating that I don't have the words or ability to describe it. I feel alone, even when I'm not.

@InkBot I'm betting one of the things making it worse is feeling trapped and alone with it. Once you let something out, the gravity of it leaves you. Do your best not to isolate.

No. It depends on the person. It depends on the person.
I tend to see normal as bad. I also think it's worth asking yourself if you'd be happy having friends with which you can't express yourself.
