Think about it - it's a virus - a biological thing that lives in its host and kills the host. For a while the hoist spreads the virus to other hosts.
It has no natural enemy. That's why they are working on a vaccine.
Politicians that say we gotta shut down until we beat the virus are actually saying they want government to control our lives so we can get used to that. They intend to keep a lid on us until THEY feel comfortable giving us a vaccine.
You want to know how long? Well, have vaccines conquered the flu?
I think Trump is right. We need to learn to live with it. When a vaccine is found, it will help, probably a lot. But beat the virus? I don't think so. China gave us a 'gift' that will keep on giving a long, long time.
