What kind of sickness was this?

A long time ago, I was having a normal day when suddenly my head started spinning. I was extremely dizzy. I decided to sit outside with my parents to get some fresh air. They were talking about food and it made me nauseated. I asked them to stop. But it was too late. I rushed to the bathroom and vomited. That’s when things got really bad. I got this very strange sensation that my stomach was going to explode. Now, I’ve felt anxiety before. I know it can make you feel like your heart will explode. But this wasn’t that. This was something biological. I actually asked my parents to take me to a hospital because the sensation so... otherworldly. They never took me, though.

For the next week or so, I had to lay down and stay perfectly still or else I would get dizzy and projectile vomit. Any time I had to get up and walk, it was... strange. Whatever sickness I had, had changed my body language. I was walking with this strange, zombie-like gait that was unnaturally slow and stiff like a prototype robot. My sister said it looked like I was on my way to kill someone. And I just couldn’t walk normally. It was weird.

Well, that was that and my symptoms went away after a week or so. But it was weird. I’d never had a sickness like that before. What was it?

Do you have West Nile in your area? My wife and I both had it and only showed those kind of symptoms for two days. I can affect people differently and not always severe.
@acpguy It was years ago but at the time, I think we did have it.

You should see a doctor to rule out anything unusual. It could be an adverse reaction to your medications, especially if you’ve made any changes to them recently.

NOTE: Not a doctor.

Sounds like vertigo. I've had the same thing and the origin is typically an oncoming migraine (which can be triggered by stress even if you're not prone to them). Also, and chalk this up to the wonder of the human body, crystals in our ears can sometimes "shift" inside the inner ear, causing vertigo. They almost always normalize, but you can help by rotating and shifting your head gently from time to time.

Good luck, but you really probably should see a medical professional to be safe.

Why didn't they take you to the doctor?

@SinlessOnslaught That's not good 😞
@Classified Tell me about it

@SinlessOnslaught You know it better than I do. 😞
I have never heard of anything like this really but you should look d get checked out to figure out what is causing that

@Tracos Oh hell yeah, I know. I’ve gone half blind from migraine. I just don’t understand how it can cause those symptoms I mentioned.
Tracos · 51-55, M
@SinlessOnslaught it can.... especially with that out of body level dizzyness and nausea.. although a week might be a bit long though...
@Tracos Hm...

Certain scents can do that to me. They don't even have to be strong.
