Small surgery numbing medication

Has anyone ever had numbing medication for small surgical procedures that when it's injected, it feels like fire going through your body. That happened to me. It never has before.

@Indy74 yes. OMG. The eye Dr asked if I could feel the knife. I said a little. Boom. Another painful shot.

@TexChik needle in your eye lid. It was the numbing stuff that stung and hurt.
