Anyone ever have this happen with a skin doctor?

You get a rash or some kind of skin outbreak. It's itchy and/or painful. All your friends notice it and urge you to see a doctor. Total strangers notice it and comment.

So, finally, after trying every home remedy you can think of, you go to a skin doctor, a specialist.

The doctor asks a few questions about it, then takes a look.

The doctor looks at it and says:
"I can't see anything."

@saintsong I have genital herpes. It took 6 doctors to get a diagnosis; the first 5 insisted they "didn't see anything." Finally, I found a doctor with the nerve to test me and state the results of the test. He told me doctors won't diagnose it for fear the patient will commit suicide. And also because they fear being drawn into lawsuits.

@saintsong When doctors say they are "testing you for everything," they often mean everything but herpes.
