My gym is open. Ironically, as Texas is pretty infested, as they tell it. Masks are technically mandatory, with a fine of up to $250, if repeated after a warning. As far as I can tell, that's not being enforced, really. Businesses get fined 500$ per infraction; but, in my gym, they have a sign up saying, "Masks are mandatory; no exceptions". When you walk in, literally 1-3 people out of 150 are wearing masks.
In any case, you don't really need a gym to lose weight. It helps for building mass, but going on walks and managing your calorie intake will do far more for your weight loss.
