Why isn't my wife getting bit by chiggers?

Recently found out we got a mild chigger problem and they've been eating me alive for a few days. Only recently found out what it was. I'm nearly 20% bites and trying to resist the itch like a heroine addict. However, my wife is virtually untouched.

Why is that? We share a bed. So what the hell?

It could be something in her diet. Those that take zinc are less likely to get bit by mosquito's. I give my dog garlic so the fleas don't like her etc.

@curiosi Garlic is part of the Allium family and they're known to be toxic to dogs. Stop.

@RedwoodBarman Takes a lot and it is far safer then the poisons the vet hands out.

@curiosi Please don't risk it. Use lavender oils or get some lavender plants at home. Smells great, looks pretty, repels fleas, and is perfectly safe for dogs.
