Is this the part where I say "I told you so?'

Covid 19 is on the rise again in 20 states in America a couple of weeks into those States starting to open up and lift restrictions. Second wave here we come and with the two to three week lag its too late to stop it now. Those "I cant Breathe" protestors will only fuel that fire in a week or two.

I think almost everybody saw this coming.

The alternative?

@Mamapolo2016 Staying shut down as hard as it was. This is why it was SO important to get ahead of this and stay there. Now the alternatives are shut down again. (terrible) or let this roll back and forth through the community until a vaccine is found and gets into circulation and pray the virus doesnt enolve to make it useless. (Horrendous)
@whowasthatmaskedman And when the vaccine takes a year or more? Very few have small farms and dairy cows anymore. Food production is big business. So is transporting it. So are all the economic support systems.

I'm staying home with very rare (like every two weeks) exceptions for necessities. But I understand why everybody can't, for economic or social/mental reasons.

Counting on vaccine development, production and dissemination might be a matter of years.

@Mamapolo2016 I absolutely agree with you on every point. But the countries where the lock down was strongest and longest are the ones where they are still ahead of this thing..And all it takes to kick start it again is a handful of cases getting out there and NOT caught.. Just like last time.
In my view (without mentioning blame) America doesnt have a winning card in this hand. Either they let it roll on and this becomes the new normal at terrible cost to the community. Or they shut down and hold it until it DOES burn out at Terrible cost to a very shaky economy and the resulting terrible cost to the community.
@whowasthatmaskedman All a person of good conscience can do is do their best not to contribute to the mess.

There are things that have no positive possible outcome. This is one of those things.

So you pay your money and make your choice. Some are gamblers, some are not.

@Mamapolo2016 Agreed. This is really a plea: "Dont be a gambler" The virus doesnt care if you are black or white, or John Wayne or Wonder woman. Stay indoors or gloves and mask and sanitise.
@whowasthatmaskedman I am. But sometimes death from a virus seems less imminent than being murdered during an arrest.

If Derek Chauvin and his ilk had followed the law, there wouldn't be protests.

@Mamapolo2016 I agree again. Not that the community at large should not have been just as outraged over a hundred other incidents. I dont have an answer where the American people come out a winner in this..
@whowasthatmaskedman Only if we face it, own it, and change it. That is the only winning hand. If we don't we deserve to lose.
