@SecondMarge well.. .the dose required to kill virus in infected tissue is almost guaranteed to cause cancer... the DNA in tissue cells is just as vulnerable to UV as the RNA in the virus...

@SecondMarge If it doesn't hurt the person, it doesn't hurt the virus. UV light damages viral RNA the same way it damages your DNA. Even fire works with 100% effectiveness at killing the virus in vitro, yet you wouldn't want it in your body.
