MrRoboto · 51-55, M
They can open all they want, but it won’t matter if people still choose to stay home.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@MrRoboto True. I don’t think the majority are excited about hanging out at malls or wherever people hang out.

SW-User
May 15

I don't think so
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SW-User I don’t think so either
Sadie14 · F
My state will be one of the last I’m sure.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Sadie14 Maybe the smartest too.
Sadie14 · F
@SimplyTracie Maybe... it’s rough being on lockdown though. It’s a blue state. 😒
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Sadie14 I don’t mind it very much myself. I’m more of a homebody anyway.
openwater · 46-50, M
So many people I hear from have cabin fever, but willing to do what they have to do. Then I catch a glimpse of the news. Pennsylvania is slowly opening up, and we shall see how it goes.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@openwater The shores are pretty too.
SW-User
@SW-User Hang in there. don't rush into anything. Take it from someone who cares.

🥰🤗@SW-User🤗🥰
Awwwwhhhhhhhhhh
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
Will those businesses that open up actually have very many customers- my guess is the public in general will be reluctant to go out for some time yet
jackjjackson · 70-79, M
I believe in going in nowhere except my house. @Dlrannie
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@jackjjackson No place like home. 😊
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Pretzel I don’t doubt it.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
my province the end of may I bet ; we are being cautious. We don't want the time already closed a waste
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@SimplyTracie Totally just tough it out a little more
@SimplyTracie well there is guaranteed going to be a second wave it's still spreading now yet they are opening shit back up how can there not be a second wave of it
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@ExperienceDLT Yeah. 🤷‍♀️
Carissimi · F
It won’t matter. I’ll carry on self isolating, until I see the effects of more freedom that won’t show up for another month or so.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Carissimi That’s smart. 😊
eli1601 · 70-79, M
I was finally able to get a haircut yesterday. It had been since February.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@eli1601 Good that you have hair to cut. How much does your haircut cost + tip?
eli1601 · 70-79, M
@SimplyTracie Is that a comment on my age? 😂

I usually get haircut and a beard trim and it's $20 and I usually leave a $5 tip. They won't do my beard for now because everyone has to wear a mask. So it was $15 and I left a $15 dollar tip because the girl had been unemployed for 6 weeks.

My wife trimmed my beard.
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
Numbers wise I can see where there can be some relaxation. This is a state with a low population and density so my worry is people comming in from out of state to take advantage of what is going to open here.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SageWanderer I imagine ya cannot close yer borders huh?
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
@SimplyTracie Once they made liquor sales for in state residents only things settled down. No we can't close borders but now I'm hearing that the things I feared they would take advantage of like haircuts and beauty services will be by appointment only. So they can screen those people.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SageWanderer Smart. I’d be cautious with walk-ins too.
texasmentor54 · 70-79, M
I am going nowhere. I sure wouldn't take the word of any mealy-mouthed politician as to whether or not it's safe. I care what the epidemic experts say.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
MeowsoliniReturns · 51-55, F
Not that I know of.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@MeowsoliniReturns Do you think your state is ready?
MeowsoliniReturns · 51-55, F
@SimplyTracie Not at all. The numbers are still rapidly climbing.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@MeowsoliniReturns Then it’s wise 😊
Nope been averaging 500 to 600 more cases per day so dont see it reopening anytime soon I'd say June or July at the earliest
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@ExperienceDLT Dang! You’re so close to DC.
@SimplyTracie they might as well reopen every state anyway half the people haven't been obeying the social distancing rules from the start
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@ExperienceDLT There are dummies everywhere. Good lawd 🙄
May 15th earliest, I think. I expect it will be extended then, because by then we'll be able to see some of the effects of other states that reopened.

@SimplyTracie You would think not, with all the elderly in Florida. But I guess you'd be wrong.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Mamapolo2016 Yeah 🤭
Pretzel · 70-79, M
limited here in Florida - except for some of the counties in south florida.

we get outside dining and limited inside dining

the stores get to open with limited capacity

masks are recommended.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Pretzel
People should be allowed to make choice too. Some employees may not feel ready to get back to work. I’m not going back to work anytime soon.
Pretzel · 70-79, M
@SimplyTracie I hope that doesn't screw up their unemployment - but it doesn't seem fair for a person that make 25 grand a year for working at a fast food restaurant (or less) to be making 30 grand for staying at home.

either way some people will catch the disease and some won't know it, others will get very sick, and some will die. sad...but true.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Pretzel What about you. Are you planning to go hang out like you did before this crisis?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
I'd say that our state is ready to experiment with opening up. We have essentially crushed the curve in CA - less total deaths than Connecticut. There is now better data regarding effects of lockdowns and social distancing, better testing infrastructure, some treatment options on the horizon, etc. This was never a permanent state, and now we can start easing lockdown measures and tracking the results.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@QuixoticSoul Awesome. Flattening the curve is what it’s all about. Careful tho, don’t want a second wave.
jackjjackson · 70-79, M
I wouldn’t be so cocky. So far every place that thinks so have been lax and then proved dramatically wrong. For the sake of y’all I hope it’s an exception to the trend. @QuixoticSoul
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
There is very little testing. The governor and his campaign contributors don't see a problem in this state of thirty plus million. They're forcing people to go to work to save on unemployment benefits.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Crazywaterspring Some businesses in Georgia aren’t gonna open even if their governor gives them the okay either. Everyone should make their own decisions.
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
@SimplyTracie Many small businesses are hurting. Whether or not to open should be their call.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Crazywaterspring I agree. No point in making money only to get sick and possibly die. Right?
erosme · 46-50, M
Nope... Here in SoCal they are going to start on May 15th...
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@erosme Smart. Watch other states and see if they experience a spike in COVID19 cases. Also, be certain that you have enough test kits available.
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
On a limited basis yes. Nothing I am interested in though lol
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@ravenwind43 I like that.
SW-User
Nope. But, they likely will anyway.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SW-User Auwe! 😔
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
No... it needs a few more days in the incubator
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
They are starting to open it up next Monday.

I won't be out there with them.. There was a record number of new cases reported here yesterday...
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Threepio Are they conducting enough test?
@SimplyTracie According to the news we are in the bottom five states and
territories in the U.S.

The stats they cite are "Less than 1% of the states population has been tested"
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Threepio That’s pretty much what I’ve read. I think more tests should be made available. I think it should be made available upon request.
Chevy454 · 46-50, M
YES!!! We are partially open now.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Chevy454 I suppose mayors will determine what’s opening huh?
Chevy454 · 46-50, M
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Chevy454 Same here.
marybmom · 31-35, F
mine left it up to counties to close so for me it has always been open
jackjjackson · 70-79, M
Boondocks? @marybmom
marybmom · 31-35, F
jackjjackson · 70-79, M
May I ask approximately where? @marybmom
TrunkZ · 56-60, M
Don't see it happening to any significant extent anytime soon
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@TrunkZ I don’t think so either but who knows. 🤷🏼‍♀️
TrunkZ · 56-60, M
@SimplyTracie Here in NY I suspect it will be a very gradual reopening
calicuz · 56-60, M
I think we are ready. Our Mayor has a solid plan in place.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@calicuz Okie. Go! 😃

User41 · 36-40, M
I hope so but Idk 🤷🏻‍♂️
User41 · 36-40, M
I don't hang out lol

But I have family members back home that need to work to keep a roof over their heads, that’s becoming more of an issue for them than the virus.

@SimplyTracie
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@User41 Just be safe as possible
User41 · 36-40, M
You too home slice

@SimplyTracie
ExtremeNext · 36-40
We did in Sydney yesterday considering the small amount of infections and deaths I'm still worried though
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@ExtremeNext The reason for the small amount of infection and deaths might be because of the restrictions. Do you wonder what will happen now that they relaxed some of the restrictions?
SW-User
They're debating going full ooen, more things are opening tomorrow.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SW-User You stay safe.
SW-User
@SimplyTracie yesterday my worker said they aren't even thinking about recalling me to work until May 29th. So we'll see how that goes

I'll try, staying home until then.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SW-User Try hard. 😊
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M

@vetguy1991 I wouldn’t think so. Same here.

Sydney Australia? god no we have had like 34 new cases in the last 3 days

That's like 100,000 to you Americans
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@ExtremeNext Yes, we have the most confirmed cases in the world. I wonder if it’s because we tested a whole lot of folks?
SW-User
No we will probably be at the end of reopening
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SW-User That’s good, right?
Mbingh01 · 61-69, F
May 8th here in NC
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Mbingh01 With restrictions I’m sure.

@SimplyTracie yes, for sure.

SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Zaxel Are you ready to get out and hang out? Go to the gym? Church on Sunday maybe?
Zaxel · 26-30, M
@SimplyTracie idk yet, u
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Zaxel I don’t think we should just yet. Why rush things?
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
Mine is opening anyway. Ready or not.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
NJ is opening the parks tomorrow. I won't be going.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@uncalled4 Will it be open for public gatherings or just for exercise?
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@SimplyTracie No idea. To me, they're either open or closed and if they're open, people will mob it.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@uncalled4 I think you’re right. But they should be arrested if the do
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@quitwhendone Yeah better.

Pfuzylogic · M
@SimplyTracie
Let’s not wait.
Didn’t you hear the recent audio transcripts from the last real President Barak Obama?

The truth is refreshing to here.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Pfuzylogic I didn’t hear the audio.

XDHyperGirlXD1 · 31-35, F
@Darksideinthenight2 95% of Americans are stupid

They thought chocolate milk came from brown cows

An egg has the most followers

Look at the president they voted lol

Opening up stores while a virus is going around is stupid and dangerous

If I named every dumb thing Americans have done my answer be the size of the yellow pages 😂😂
XDHyperGirlXD1 · 31-35, F
@SimplyTracie it's ok for now
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M

My barber (me) never closed. I usually rein it every three weeks or so. Since this started I haven’t done regular face shaving. I trim it short weekly and sometimes prior to important zoom meetings.

jackjjackson · 70-79, M
No paying and no tipping. @Chevy454
jackjjackson · 70-79, M
Does it matter what the government does? Whether or not to expose oneself further is an I divual choice. Sadly however, the unemployment rate is shortly going to exceed that of the Great Depression. People need money to survive. People are currently working in restaurants for take out or in food stores or moving food to market are sucking it up taking the risk because they need the money. Medical people, fire, EMS, police, etc. are people who have heroism in their blood.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@jackjjackson Yes they are but those folks always were heroes. And who woulda thought those grocery store cashiers would be considered heroic as well huh?
