Why would you even need to mention that she prayed? You're basically saying it's because she prayed that she didn't get the flu. Obviously that's a lie, faith healing groups pray over their children every single day, yet 40 have died within 20 years or so. So if praying solved everything that wouldn't happen and it wouldn't be just the "odd person or two" within centuries either.
