Retirement is considered non-essential... Our Gov did the same thing. In Michigan we are ordered to "stay home" for all non essential workers. We are both retired, and since we are in the high risk category.. we were already practicing voluntary isolation before the order. 3 weeks mandated here.. I live in the second most hot-spot (county) in Michigan, just behind Detroit, so we are extra careful when we have to go outside for essentials. Latex gloves and my shop masks.. We wipe down with clorox wipes after being in a store and before getting into the car. We have a tea/drink that nurses use to ward off the flu that we stocked up on before this blew up..
I hope many will not realize how wonderful retirement is and can be and will be looking forward to it..
@SimplyTracie YUP.. I get a social security check each month that keeps me at the poverty level... A result of my payroll taxes all the years I worked..
