By now your country should have an advisory note on it's govt. Dept. of health page.
Follow that advice.

Call your boss and tell him this is what you've been advised and is he aware the world is in meltdown at the moment over this ?
If he still gives you grief go to the union.

@Picklebobble2 unfortunately we don't have union we sign a nounion agreement when we are hired. And yes he's aware it's a grocery store it's been like everyone thinks the apocalypse is coming for the last 4 days since they closed school and all non-essential government th.

@foggymorning31 Then to my mind that makes it a health and safety issue. Which has laws he HAS to adhere to no matter what he tells you !
Contact your local HSE office which is normally at your local town hall.
If not go to their webpage and ask for advice.

Most of the spread is due to poor decisions both by companies and people. Recently, the Women's March in Madrid had good intentions, but kinda exploded the infection rate. Brazil's first case was a woman that had been in Italy, spent time with her husband at home, then sent him to her workplace to tell them she was sick. Of course, this means that those people are potentially infected.

With something this contagious, it's best to just be smart.

Tell me where you are and I'll turn you in. That's how the swine flu and now this other thing got started. In both World Wars, there were flus that devastated both sides of the world, Europe and the USA. Swine flu was a killer in its day, and now this new virus.

If you are sick, get a doctor's note. If he says to stay home a certain number of days, have him include that in the note and then DO IT. Cover your mouth and nose with a Kleenex when you cough or sneeze. Wash your hands properly with SOAP.
