I honestly don't think they've arrived at solid conclusions about such things.

@Mamapolo2016 ok, what about other viruses, i thought that the virus particles fall directly to land after coughing or sneezing.. no it seems they have wings to stay enough in the air and infect too many people!

@salwa Well, they don't fall and stick to where they fall. Air currents are created by movement and can stir them up.
I just read they now think it can last on cardboard for up to 24 hours...
