Looking to lose 50 lbs, any fitness advice and motivation?

Looking for some motivation to be consistent in the gym and consistent with healthy eating. I’ve been on again and off again with the gym due to life. I’ve gained quite a bit of weight and I’m looking to lose about 50LBS as well as to be toned.

Any tips? Advice? Exercise recommendations that I won’t get bored with? I’m a little intimated by weights but I know they help. I enjoy cardio very much.

If you have any success stories I would love to hear.

Thank You.

Dedication is a must! You must make a life style change to keep the weight off and be healthier person. Cross-train,run, bike, swim, stretch, lift free weights or the machines (do more reps with small amounts of weight to tone your body). You want tone your body and not gain bulk. Go to the gym with your SO or a friend. Keep a daily log of your exercise regiment. Stay positive and dedicated!! Mix it up so you don't get bored.
As far a eating healthy, I'm a very picky eater. So I counted calories. If I went out to eat I would always bring food home for other meals. I eat alot of salad and soups. If you make your own meals it will help you count the calories.
I went from 235lbs down to 170lbs by changing my life style with exercise eating better and lots of dedication and support from family and friends.
You can too!!
