I'm not seeking health advice but I'm asking about people's experiences with 'subclinical hypothyroidism.'

I was on synthroid for 17 years and it was a roller coaster up and down, I don’t want to say what I’m taking now but I’ll pm it to you, finally something that works!!
I take levothyroxine and have for years.

High TSH doesn't sound subclinical.

@HannahSky In Canada that's what category it falls into. I had a hunch to check the t3 and t4 because I waz on thyroxine for about 2 years and off it for 1.5 years. I got so hyper on levothyroxine that I dropped it and took lemon balm instead. Then the dr's secretary pressured me to go back on it, and I said I would if the t3 and t4 were low. They are perfectly normal, mid range normal. I have a hunch that my pituitary gland just hasn't caught up, so it's still trying to overwork the thyroid by sending it extra tsh.

@purplepen it's such a finicky thing with thyroid.
