Is this normal for doctors (see below)?

She says she's willing to take me on if I keep to a number of things including scrapping all my 'preconceived ideas about what's wrong with me,' going off my current prescription and going through months of testing just to see if I really have migraines. And more batteries of tests to see if I actually have seizures. I already have a diagnosis of migraines and a 'provisional diagnosis' of seizures after EEG's confirmed them years ago. I also have a diagnosis of vasovagal syncope. I would also have to totally comply with everything she told me.

I have read other's opinion here that she could be scamming you.. But at the end of the day it is your health.

But it is normal. It is a good idea to start afresh especially since you are not cured. You may have been on medication for many years.. and body builds resistance to it. So a study is possible only when medications are stopped. You could have been hooked to a few medications without necessity. But in some cases the diagnosis can also be wrong.. But can be corrected if diagnosed early.

But they are also right. We are under the mercy of medical industry. But at the end of the day our suffering is with us.
