Is this normal for doctors (see below)?

She says she's willing to take me on if I keep to a number of things including scrapping all my 'preconceived ideas about what's wrong with me,' going off my current prescription and going through months of testing just to see if I really have migraines. And more batteries of tests to see if I actually have seizures. I already have a diagnosis of migraines and a 'provisional diagnosis' of seizures after EEG's confirmed them years ago. I also have a diagnosis of vasovagal syncope. I would also have to totally comply with everything she told me.

Normal yes, right? I don't think so. Lots of doctor's own labs and order tests to keep the traffic flowing to those labs, then there is the kick backs from big pharma, some give bigger rewards for prescribing THEIR drugs, there is also billable hours as you would have to return to the office many times. Bottom line you would be a high profit patient. Doctors also don't want to cure a a patient cured is a customer lost.
