Why have heavy pain while mensuration?

Hello All,

My wife always has heavy pain in stomach while mensuration at first day only (every month). She feels tired, sleepy and unhealthy. Can anyone help?

I do recall the contraceptive pill helped!
But if your trying to conceive its obviously a no no!
Hot water bottle and a good painkiller..
Gone are my pains since a hysterectomy 10 years ago..
I've never felt better. But I know she's must be young..
Yoga is also good for bad cramps.
