Why have heavy pain while mensuration?

Hello All,

My wife always has heavy pain in stomach while mensuration at first day only (every month). She feels tired, sleepy and unhealthy. Can anyone help?

Perfectly normal. In fact if its only one day she has it fairly easy! Painkillers obviously help and if its really bad a nice warm hotwater bottle can give comfort.
