Do you think its okay to skip school this long?

Hiya. I've been suffering this intense cough for near on a week now and so I've been taking time off school until I feel better.

But I fear that a week might be too much. I just wanted to get someone's opinion. Xxx

You should see a doctor,if you're contagious you might have to stay out longer;you don't say if there's fever or other symptoms.
