Friday is going to be an interesting day!
In the Netherlands I have several health care providers, but most have not seen any other patient with the same disease and those who did, may have seen 2 or 3 tops. Friday I will be in England to visit a team that has seen about 30 patients with my exact disease.
There are only 2 places in the world with this much expertise on metabolism, immune system, the heart, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and psychology. And all these work as a team over there, whereas in the rest of the world, each works on their own area with much more general knowledge and little to no communication with other healthcare providers.
The combination of exceptional expertise and teamwork across the entire spectrum is very exciting!
