Should i go to a hospital?
Hello. I have been released from a mental hospital 2 or so weeks ago where i was given rivotril (clonazepam) for a month. I was given one and a half of 2mg pills.
They tapered me off in less than a week and today i am suffering from rather horrific withdrawals. Today i can no longer eat or sleep and i have feverish shakes throughout the day. At one point i hyperventilated so hard without noticing that my entire body went numb and i almost fainted.
I looked on the internet a little bit and saw some rather discouraging comments on this drug and how some have become hooked for life from smaller doses than mine and one guy nearly dying from not sleeping for 11 days.
I am very sensitive about my sleeping so when i read this i almost barfed from just the idea that i may go through this.
My question is, what should i do? Should i go back to the hospital and ask them to taper me off slower? Or can i survive this on my own?
I would really appreciate advice from those who took this drug or possibly from a medical professional. Thank you.
