Has anyone you have known died from medical malpractice?

Just wondering.

I know two people who went into the hospital for one thing and got killed for something else, maybe something nonexistent...

My late fiancee, she was on IV diuretics and the staff failed to monitor her potassium levels and she died of cardiac arrest.

@Platoscave Thank you, her kidneys became damaged from getting addicted to alkaline water, we even had a special machine to make her own. I could not stand the taste or the burning sensation of drinking it, so I never touched it. She was convinced to stop drinking it after she spilled some on our expensive teakwood table, and it stripped the finish within seconds.
