For me it did.
First it was not smoking for the first four hours at work. (I had to stay away from the smokers on break in order to do this)
Then it was ONLY having a smoke at lunch (no more on afternoon break)
Then it was No smoking at work at all.
Then it was no smoking before or during work...
Then no smoking at night classes..
The day I graduated was the day I quit.
HARDEST thing I ever did...
TIP: You also have to give up your triggers. Mine were alcohol, coffee and diet cokes. I can drink all now, but had to give them up to quit and for about a year after I quit as well....
