there is LDL (lousy) cholesterol, and there's HDL (good) cholesterol. LDL is tiny and sticky, HDL is big and fluffy, and it carries away LDL. that's it's job.
you need omega 3's to form HDL. lower your consumption of polyunsaturated fats/omega 6's (packaged food, baked goods, fried foods), and increase your omega 3's (seeds, nuts, cold-water fish, and grass-fed beef... among other sources, including plant sources - research sources).
