How do I adjust faster to a physically demanding job?

It's been like 15 years since I had a job. I've worked off and on doing web design for my sister but that's sitting at my desk. Before that my last job was working in a food processing place where I was always moving and pushing/pulling large loads. I was also power lifting back then.
Now I have a new job working in a warehouse. I help unload trucks, stack boxes, etc. Its so fast paced. I get a horrible headache, exhausted, thirsty, sweaty, dizzy, sore, and my fingers don't want to work.
Now that I'm older and from pregnancy I have carpal tunnel in my hands and vein insufficiency in my legs.
I've had about 1 week at this job so far. It scares me how sick I feel while I'm working. How can I adjust faster and start feeling stronger?

Could be that it's not for you.
I've done those kinds of jobs and i was never fast enough.
I found i was better if i just kept at it but it used to leave me exhausted.

@Picklebobble2 the last 20 years they’ve increased the workloads at many places

@cherokeepatti Oh it's ridiculous these days. Unrealistic targets; unrealistic expectations; workers sacked on the spot for silly infringements of rules.
Your face really needs to fit if you want to work in those kinds of places.

@cherokeepatti yes they have life changed a lot sense we wee younger company's care less about employees and employees could care les about the company now all you here is bitching
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Picklebobble2 @olderuncle944 they don’t care if new workers quit

@cherokeepatti best thing to do is ignore those companies altogether if you can.
I try very hard not to use Amazon/Ebay/Dell/Wal*Mart/Staples/Barnes&Noble etc.

@Picklebobble2 the university developed horrible work environment due to a president who had been a career politician .... people were scared to speak out....now he’s retired and in a sex scandal investigation involving student employees...grand jury found 6 witnesses credible enough to turn the case over to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. He’s not having a good year, his name is in the news every week several times a week since January.

@cherokeepatti Let's hope he gets what he should then.

@Picklebobble2 The bad publicity has wiped out his legacy...😂😂😂
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@cherokeepatti Yeah but it's the mental and emotional scars he left his victims with that should do for him.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Picklebobble2 cause early in his political career he swore on a Bible in front of news cameras that he was neither a homosexual or a bisexual and never was...the local news played that old video a couple times....the student accusers were all male.

@Picklebobble2 I know, one became an alcoholic and ended up in rehab due to it.

@cherokeepatti Total scumbag ! I sometimes think one of the more 'appropriate' sentences might be to leave him in a room with half a dozen of his victims for ten minutes !

@Picklebobble2 its Walmart. The benefits are great though
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@morrgin yeah but you have to weight that against what it costs you physically and mentally.

@Picklebobble2 I got a feel for that yesterday. I was thinking it was crazy how nice everyone was and how working there is totally different than the few other places I've worked. Then a supervisor I'd never met walks buy when I'm stocking shelves. He tells me grocery should be done by 9 pm now. That's 3 hours earlier than before. Not only that they are remodeling the store so the employees and customers dont know where anything is. We arent allowed to just tell a customer where to go we have to walk them there. All of this and it's only my 3rd day today besides the other days of sitting on a computer training.

@morrgin What is it with people like that ? What do they think you're suddenly going to go and do ? finish the job three hours earlier ?
Yeah i've worked for folk like that.
@$$£$ !
