When sbould i take antibiotics for an ear infection?

I've been having ear pain. I had some ear pain last week but it went away. For few days.

I went to the doctor for a different reason and they didnt say anything was wrong when they looked in my ear.

Last night it hurt pretty bad and had a lot of pressure. I felt some fluid draining from my ear when I layed on my side. So I slept on my side all night. Today it doesn't hurt it just feels a little bit like I'm in an air plane when I swallow.

I took a shower and it feels a lot better but when I was cleaning my ears with a tissue there was some green mucous on the tissue it wasn't dark green just a pale green.

Green means a bacterial infection. Definitely a sign that you need an antibiotic

Not every earache has anything to do with the ear. You could have an infected/abscessed molar. See your doctor, report the symptoms and, if that doesn't work, see your dentist.

You need to go specifically to your GP for your earache..
