It's not that bad. You can't drive afterwards. Just remember to use the eye drops, they are expensive (at least in the US), but they work. Your eye may feel very dry, I think you are allowed to use regular OTC eye drops. Ask your Dr just to make sure.

It actually isn't that bad. Doesn't take long or anything. The hardest part is having the money up front to pay for it here in the states. My mother had it done. She was back home in hours.

My father had that a while ago and said it was an easier experience than he had expected. His eyesight improved considerably too so it was worthwhile.
