Would you not want to know as much as you can about your spouse/S/O 's illness so that you knew how you can help in some way ?

Would you not want to know more than you think you know ? To understand?

@SW-User I've been in this position more times than I'd like to admit. Some really shut down and didn't want me to be a part of it. As painful as that was, I have to respect their choices.
