is anyone here taking lithium? is it working well for you?

I was talking it years ago for bipolar disorder and I hated it. It turned my skin grey once and made me ill. It's a lead based medication that even the doctors can't explain how it works. Do some research on the internet first before taking it. You also need to be checked regularly for your lead levels as it can poison you if they get too high. I wouldn't recommend it myself.

@Mikado ive been on different medications for the laat 8 years and now its my last hope.. i donno what to do anymore

@estranged I totally understand. Ive taken over twenty different types of anti depressants none worked, anti psycotics work on occasions but I find anxiety meds work best for me...Seroquel in particular

@Mikado I take seroquel also. It helps me along with the lithium.

i took seroquel before it used to make me sleep a lot.. how do you deal with that

I like the Seroquel because unlike antidepressants you don't HAVE to take it everyday..you can take it as you feel your going to need it..

@estranged I only take it at night. It does help me sleep, but I do wake up feeling pretty good.
