Anyone else here have a concussion?
So I was in a car accident two Fridays ago, and have been recovering from a moderate concussion since then.
Just wondering who else has gone through it, and if you wanted to share anything about it. I know a lot of people get triggered by bright lights and things, but for me, it was sounds. Like if too many people were talking in the same room, or the air conditioner compressor was running, or the dishwasher. Oh, man, the dishwasher was the worst.
It's been quite a humbling experience, honestly, to truly realize just how fragile we are. Like, I just banged my head on the back of my seat, and I was pretty much unable to function for a week and a half. Normal sounds and computer screens gave me headaches, and trying to make dinner one night was so mentally strenuous, I put myself in the emergency room after my symptoms flared. It's rough. I don't recommend it for anyone.
