I take Lexapro, but I was instructed to take it in the mornings. Unless your doctor specifically told you to take it at night, maybe you should take it when you get up instead of when you are going to bed?

@Plumouter In my personal experience, it doesn't cause drowsiness, in fact on days when I accidentally took a second dose, I sometimes felt really restless. I was told, however, that it's better to take it in the morning so the levels of it in my system are higher during the day when I need them, and lower at night where it's not as important.
