Should I learn Tai Chi?

I just discovered a place down the street that offers adult classes for Tai Chi. Anyone have any experience with it to know if it would be good for me? I'm looking to improve my vaguely-defined health/fitness goals without having to go to a typical gym.

Tai Chi is excellent for strength and flexibility but it won't help your cardio. Also I would suggest taking it at a real martial arts school. Too often the adult ed classes are just empty movements taught by someone who has no understanding of the martial applications. It is just mimicked motion. Without understanding you will not learn correct form and movement.
