Should I learn Tai Chi?

I just discovered a place down the street that offers adult classes for Tai Chi. Anyone have any experience with it to know if it would be good for me? I'm looking to improve my vaguely-defined health/fitness goals without having to go to a typical gym.

Depends if your into all the spiritual stuff that goes with it. I did it for a while and the guy kept banging on about a load of other spiritual stuff so I left. Imo you can’t beat a conventional gym.

@Supesun Maybe I should read up on the philosophy of it. I was just looking for a slower-paced martial art, not a new religion.

Exactly. That’s what I thought when I tried it. If you can hack all that stuff then fine but as a fitness tool I think there’s better stuff out there. @FaeLuna

@Supesun Yeah, I know. I just feel weird at gyms for some reason.

@FaeLuna I have a lot of experience and it is rare that the real instructors get religious. The want to teach Tai Chi not convert people.
