You are comparing apples to oranges. When they invent a prosthetic penis that looks and functions as well or better than a real one (sort of like breast implants), I'm in. And after a certain age, ovaries are as useful as an appendix. If I was predisposed to cancer of the appendix, out it goes.

Ovaries continue to excrete hormones in limited amounts throughout life, as does the uterus. It really is a tad more intricate than you apparently understand. I have consulted with breast specialists, oncologists and genetic counselors, but thank you for mansplaining how my own organs function. 🙄

Actually, my spouse had breast cancer. We did the genetic testing drill. And the anti-hormone therapy. And the tumor genotype assessment. And made a myriad of decisions after becoming fully informed. I learned quite a bit about breast cancer, genetic implications, hormone dependent cancers and treatment options, breast reconstruction, ovarian ablation, chemo risks and benefits and odds of survival under different regimins. Because I researched it as if my spouses life depended on it. Which it did. So save your condescension for some other male. I suspect I know way more about the subject than you will ever know. And am a good resource you just burned.
