String test

Has anyone tried the 'string test'? It's supposed to be a better way of monitoring your health / size than BMI.

Run a piece of string the length of your body, from head to toes. Then, fold it in half and see if the ends meet when you hold it around your waist. If the ends don't touch, you are overweight, supposedly.

Always used the pinch an inch test myself. I've always been morbidly obese on the BMI chart, but I'll try it! For curiosity.

@SW-User Or as I call it, 'hold a fold' 😂

@Emele lol, people with lower muscle mass can hold a fold, its the thickness of the fold that counts! But yeah! 🙂
@SW-User 😂 I feel the same. I need longer string. 🤣

@SW-User According to this chart (https://www.rush.edu/health-wellness/quick-guides/what-is-a-healthy-weight) my upper 'healthy' weight is 154lbs. It'd be an interesting thing to see if the ends met at that weight. I'm currently towards the upper end of 'overweight'.
