Took a bunch of teenaged boys camping once. We decided to go for a hike. About 10 miles into the hike someone stepped on a wasp's nest and several of the boys were stung. One of the lads was allergic to bee stings and we asked him where his allergy kit was. He had left it back in camp. Fortunately he was allergic to bees and not wasps as a bee sting likely would have been fatal. He was so allergic he would have needed to be medicated within 2 minutes of the sting or his throat would close and he would stop breathing. There was no way we could have made it back to camp in time. Then another boy piped up saying he was allergic to bees and wasps but hadn't been stung. He didn't have his epipen with him either.
