Diet is the most important. You cannot out exercise a bad diet. Beyond that any sort of cardio will help.

@StoicGrappler I suggest weight training to...it'll even help with the weight loss
StoicGrappler · 26-30, M
@celine211 That's a good point. The more muscle you have the more calories you burn on a daily basis.

Joggings burns more calories in a shorter amount of time assuming you are exerting a normal pace on both... but jogging is also harder on the joints

I'd personally go with cycling, it's much more manageable (in terms of breath and distance I can travel, lol) and at the same time I would enjoy the scenery, whereas jogging/running stresses me out.

They both are but cycling is better because it's less impact. Jogging over a long period of time can damage your knees.
celine211 · 22-25, F
Cycling probably burns more.. both depend on intensity, time, length to be covered
how steep the ground is etc

Well, it depends on how much you value your knees. Might be a great idea now, but when you've got titanium in both legs, jogging looks like a pretty bad idea in retrospect.
Both are great for weight loss, stamina and muscle tone, though.
