I've never thought of myself as an anxious person

However, on Friday I was very anxious about something. I can't put my finger on what it was but I was irritable and snappy all day and I really could work out what it was. Is what I describe a form of anxiety 馃

I think there is a measure of collective anxiety to account for these days. I feel like we are near a precipice as humans in general.

@puck61 I honestly feel like this anxiety is entirely self-created. Somehow modern means of communication and media magnify and amplify it, whipping it up out of nothing.
@QuixoticSoul Strangely enough, frightened sheep are easier to pen.

@puck61 I don't think it's that deliberate. Honestly, it would be an easier problem to solve if it was.

It's just that fear sells better, and the information market has become incredibly competitive - market forces are monumentally powerful in the long term.
@QuixoticSoul Well, even though there is unprecedented political polarity, and geopolitical troubles a plenty. I believe we are a few minutes closer to midnight on the doomsday clock, than we were at the height of the cold war. I hate to sound like this, but at the height of the cold war in the early eighties we were the eagle and the bear, and now we are the bear and the over confident buzzard.
