Problem with prescription glasses

I got new glasses. Theu are the ones that get dark. Anyways, when i put them on, i can see better. The only problem is that when i see a piece of paper it looks like a trapezoid. Like when both sides are supposed to be 45 degrees they are less than 45. Do any of you guys know why this happens?

Don't wait. Bring them back and tell them what the problem is. Either the lab messed up or the eye doctor did with the prescription.

@SW-User they told me to give the glasses two weeks and my eyes might get used to them.

@Hereagain Is this one of those large chain stores that has an optician who tested you? I worked for one years ago. They do that a lot. It doesn't take two weeks for your eyes to adjust to a newer prescription. Maybe a day or three at most.

Not a chain one. I live in a very small town. They come every two weeks. I have had 5 pairs of glasses in my life. This is the first time this happens to me. Also, when he was testing my eyes, when they have you try out the lenses, i was feeling cross eyed and he said cuz my prescription is too strong. He said that i might need a stronger one but he is gonna weaned me into it.

@Hereagain had the same problem when i got my new reading glasses. Did give me headaches for a good week or so after i started using them and nothing 'looked right'.
But seems to have done something. Either to my eyes or my brain because they seem to work ok now.

Did a piece of paper look like a trapezoid?

@Hereagain Can't remember. do you need to wear them all the time or just for reading etc ?
If you need them for driving i'd definitely get back there and tell them.

@Hereagain Best go back and check. Makes you a danger on the road if you don't think they keep you safe
