Is a bad period a valid sick leave excuse?

Literally been taken ibuprofen & paracetamol for it.
It's heavy. Changing every couple of hours.
I'm mentally and physically wiped out.
I don't usually get then like this and as you guys know I've spent the weekend feeling pretty low borderline suicidal.

@SW-User honestly, the way I feel right now there's not much chance of a sense of humor.
This is my worst nightmare calling in sick for a bad period. But I really don't have it in me. Thanks. And I'll try and do my best, I must return tomorrow. I can't bare taking the time like this.
