How long does it take for lung cancer or throat cancer to develop if you smoke cigs?

I've been smoking for 7 1/2 years plan on quitting tomorrow. How much time do I have to live and estimate you know.

You can develop lung or throat cancer even if you've never picked up a cigarette or been around smokers.

Smoking increases your chances of course, but it's all very random.
