How long does it take for lung cancer or throat cancer to develop if you smoke cigs?
I've been smoking for 7 1/2 years plan on quitting tomorrow. How much time do I have to live and estimate you know.

for my wife it took 20 yrs.
she has stage 4 non small cell lung cancer.. that shit spreads fast but is easily manipulable through therapies until the shit 'gets smart' as many oncologists worry about.
her therapy is on it's 3rd year and it's not easy.
so stop!
she's on chemo, immunotherapy (this is every other friday) then for a while she had to get blood infusions monthly.
she's on a shit load of opiates for dire pain... cancer spread to bones.
and she's always nursing herself and i gotta make sure she gets enough nutrients so her heart doesn't freaking stop due to congestive failure.
i'm hating it like hell.
do not smoke cancer sticks!
she's too fucking young... i don't know what i'll do without her.
and watching her fight is hard as fuck.

i can't nag enough, do not smoke those fucking coffin nails.
right now she's back on the radiation and it's wearing her down...

i know many pot heads and they only got emphysema.. the smoke caved them in but no cancers...
yet?
oh and people who drink bad water .. bladder, kidney and stomach cancers.
it sucks.. i wish there were inoculations.. even if they worked for short periods of time to halt the cancer enough for a person to recoup.
because it's a mutation.. though complex, we should be able to make that work for us.

sometimes more if she was stressed.
she smoked marlboros, salem and specialized cigarettes from time to time.
she finally quit when she got a double bypass heart graft her aorta became blocked and they put a stent into it then the stent failed.
THEN she developed arteriosclerosis.. the hardening of the arteries.
then her femoral artery aneurysm left her with a graft there and they found the metastasized material there.
now here she is.
i'm very happy her vascular surgeon found it.. still it spread to her left leg.
