Has anyone here ever benefitted from an eye exam?

My eye doctor was the one that told me I had high blood pressure and diabetes. I had been tested through my PCP and there was no issues supposedly. Then I went to her just 3 months later and she could see it perfectly. I took her findings back to my PVP and they did other tests that showed indeed I was diabetic. They had me start monitoring my blood pressure and it was unbelievably high in the late afternoons. She has caught other little things along the way too. People play off vision and dental care, but they are both important.
