Is it normal for my wrist to still hurt a year after it was broken?

The last time I broke my wrist was September 2016, so really it shouldn’t hurt anymore but it is hurting! I haven’t broken it again because there are no marks, swellings or red or blanched areas. It’s hurting a hell of a lot and I’m jjysg wondering what to do because it doesn’t outwardly look like it has any obvious injury or deformity

Old bone injuries are famous for hurting on and off for the rest of your life. But, it can also be a sign that it didn't heal completely. The body uses the skeletal system to control blood levels of calcium. It says away at bone, but then rebuilds it when there is extra available.

It’s been broken on 3 separate occasions so I guess the effect will be amplified

Shouldn't you be asking your doctor?

I don’t really want to be troubling the doctor in case it ls nothing, because if it is nothing then it means that I’ve wasted an appointment that someone else could have had. And I know there are definitely people who need to see a doctor more than I do

You are in pain and you are worried. Those are reasons. There will also people seeing your doctor who need to see a doctor less than you do. Don't be a martyr, make an appointment.

For my luck I know that would be normal so I'll go with yes

Mine took 2 years for the pain to go away
Well I know a sprain can hurt for a like 8 months so breaking a bone would be a definite yes
Probably some old bruises. I got hit by a car once, and everything still hurts.

Go to dr or get a wrist brace
