anyone here have a prolapsed chord when giving birth?

Carla1951 · 70-79, F
Had to look that up. Umbilical cord prolapse is a condition during the last stages of pregnancy in which the umbilical cord descends into the vagina prematurely. This most often occurs after the membranes have ruptured and the baby moves into the birth canal for delivery.
I've never given birth, so I wouldn't know.

@Carla1951 Thanks for clearing it up! Sounds troubling.

@kayoshin I am fairly certain your Obstetrician keeps watch

@Carla1951 I'm pretty sure it can't happen to me, with being male and all :)

I believe mine was G minor.
No, but i know what it is. It would likely lead to fetal distress because the pressure of the contractions and the descending baby would cause the blood supply to be diminished. An emergency csection would probably be necessary in that case.

WQhat's a chord? I'm asuming you don't mean musical chords :)

Man that sucks rejecting a baby you adopted. I mean i get if you adopt older kids and they are like the devils spawn or something but returning a 2 year old thats cold why take it in the first place?

@kayoshin Pardon sir, But I was unable to become pregnant, Unable to conceive, We chose adoption. We were blessed first with a new born Female and 6 months later We were asked if we could take in a 2 year old boy. Told that the family adopting him changed their mind.
We then brought home a very freighted, insecure little boy.

Yea I understood that and didn't say anything about you. I commented on the part where you said your adopted son was "rejected by the first set of adopting parents" so clearly I meant the set of adopting parents that rejected the son.

Now is that a new fetish or what?
