So when was summer?
I am in the UK, and apart from a scattering of sunny days it has hardly been summery at all. Being British I also like to moan about the weather.

The rain came down in a non-sequential pattern. Muting as it had for centuries as it beat on the cobblestone streets below. It was intermittent. It was cold. And while it was still hours away from dawn it kept the robbers that frequented the alleys and back roads at bay. Not so much because one as unscrupulous as them feared the rain. But rather, because there were no marks to be had at this hour and in this weather. Weather Londoners had long got used to, be they Easterners or highbrow subjects of the royalty.
