Why does PTSD cause me to still act sick, when I am better now?

Why do I dwell in the shadow of the shadows, when they are gone. Why do I relive it when its over?

I think we need a sense of justice for the things our minds hold onto.

Because you’ve experienced something traumatic and it takes time, and treatment, to heal.

I assume it's because the past is cruel. The holiday's just make it worse.

It's just part of the disorder. I've had it ten years now, and though I seldom have flashbacks or nightmares anymore, I still have them once in a blue moon. You know, PTSD is a very normal reaction to a very abnormal situation. Try meditation. I have found that when I am just focusing on my breathing, I am so busy being in the present moment that my mind simply cannot focus on the past.
