Your wait is so long because, along with true emergencies, you're sitting with the uninsured who want to be seen for colds, coughs, a new mole, pregnancy check-ups...you name it. They can't pay, the costs cause rises in insurance premiums, and then insurance becomes that much harder to afford. Great system, no?
